Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about Power BI reporting and our services.

Power BI reporting means collecting, transforming and visualizing data on Microsoft's Power BI platform. Reports aggregate information from different sources into a single view where data can be analyzed interactively using filters, charts and KPI metrics. Reports can be shared within the organization through the Power BI service and they update automatically.
Business Intelligence (BI) refers to the methods, technologies and practices used to collect, integrate and analyze business data to support decision-making. The goal of BI is to transform raw data into understandable information — such as reports, dashboards and trend analyses — so that organizations can make better, data-driven decisions.
BI reporting is suitable for virtually any size company that collects data from its operations. If your company uses Excel spreadsheets, CRM systems, ERP or other data sources and you want a unified view of your business, Power BI reporting brings significant added value. Companies especially benefit where manual reporting takes time or data is scattered across multiple systems.
Power BI is a business analytics tool developed by Microsoft, consisting of three parts: Power BI Desktop (report creation), Power BI Service (sharing reports in the cloud) and Power BI Mobile (viewing reports on mobile). Power BI connects data to hundreds of different data sources and enables the creation of interactive reports and dashboards.
Power BI is the market-leading BI tool (Gartner Magic Quadrant). It integrates seamlessly with the Microsoft ecosystem (Teams, SharePoint, Excel), supports hundreds of data sources and offers the powerful DAX calculation language. Licenses are affordable compared to competitors, and the Power BI user community is massive — help and resources are readily available.
Power BI license prices (excl. VAT): • Power BI Pro: €9.40/month per user — includes report creation, sharing and viewing. • Power BI Premium Per User (PPU): €18.70/month per user — Pro features + AI, dataflows and larger datasets. • Power BI Premium capacity: starting from €4,675.60/month — for the entire organization, unlimited viewer license, large data volumes. A Pro license is sufficient for most companies to get started.
A typical Power BI report project costs €2,000–10,000. The price depends on data complexity, number of data sources, report scope and level of customization. A simple single-source report is more affordable, while multi-system integrations and complex data models increase the price. We always offer a free initial assessment before starting a project.
