Challenge

In St1's international operating environment, information about serious workplace safety incidents needed to reach corporate management within 24 hours. A particular challenge was translating incidents reported in various languages into English within a tight deadline.

Solution

BI-Asiantuntijat developed an English-language Power BI report that combines Azure OpenAI language models with workplace safety data from the Falcony system. Data collection can be done in any language, after which AI automatically translates incidents into English. Power Automate alerts activate twice daily and Incremental Refresh ensures cost-efficiency.

Results

Management stays informed about workplace safety incidents across borders in real-time. Meeting tight communication deadlines, cost-efficient and scalable implementation, and systematic documentation and trend analysis of serious incidents.
